A lot of women fall victim to wanting the most fashionable, and unfortunately the most expensive, designer purses that are currently hitting all of the magazines and the arms of best friends around the world. One of the most popular among the brands is the Prada handbag. The Prada handbag has surely made a name for itself with its appealing style and the sense of being something of real fortune. The Prada handbag can often give some women the sense of worthiness to carry such a bag as not every woman can afford one.
Often times, although not rightfully so, women can be jealous over such trivial things like handbags. But this jealousy is want women want other women to experience when they see that they are carrying a Prada handbag. The name itself makes someone think about money. And everyone wants to have a lot of that and if they can’t, they at least want to look like they do even if it means getting something of lesser quality.
Where to and Where Not to Buy a Prada Handbag
Many women will often search for deals when trying to find a Prada handbag that can fit within their budget. And often times, they end up going home with nothing as these handbags can range anywhere from a couple hundred to over a thousand. So some women innocently enough end up at certain online auction sites in hopes of finding a great deal on a new or used Prada handbag. But what they end up getting is something they least expected – a fake. The last thing you want is to end up paying $200 on a purse that is really worth no more than $20!
The best place to purchase a designer purse like a Prada handbag would be in their outlet stores, high end department stores, or on the Prada website itself. This is the best way to ensure you end up with high quality and good workmanship for your handbag. You can often times catch sales on different brand name handbags so if you watch your favorite Prada handbag long enough, you might just be able to buy it on sale.
Then again, you have those people who are out looking for a fake Prada handbag and do not care if it is the real deal. Some women have no problem with paying a couple hundred dollars for a knockoff that would cost them about a thousand to purchase if they wanted a real one. But when fake handbags are purchased, there are many people who get hurt and companies who have worked hard on their name and legend gain nothing from someone purchasing a purse that copies their design.
I guess it is simply a judgment call and the need to determine if your desire for a Prada handbag is large enough, that you would be willing to settle for a fake or just wait until you can afford the real thing. Either way, there are a lot of brand name purses hitting the arms of women across the world and it is extremely hard to avoid the temptation of a real designer purse.

Marc Jacobs was born on April 9 1963 in the city of New York. He attended the prestigious High School of Art and Design and later the Parsons School of Design. His first project was for the Weiser family chain of stores, Charivari. It was to make and design hand knitted sweaters for the store.
He received great honors while he was in Parsons, including the Chester Weinberg Gold Thimble, the Perry Ellis Gold Thimble and a Design Student of the Year award. Soon after he was presented with the awards, he was contacted by Robert Duffy to design for the Ruben Thomas Inc Sketchbook label.
Robert Duffy and Marc Jacobs soon joined Perry Ellis where they were in charge f the women’s fashion. By the year 1997, the two were already immersed in many projects and were soon connected with Louis Vuitton where they started designing and making handbags. It was in this very same year that the initial Marc Jacobs store opened in New York.
The Handbags
Marc Jacobs handbags are known to be very versatile and chic. Their designs range from the ultra feminine to the ruggedly feminine. Right now, Marc Jacobs handbags usually have designs which are offered for each season and they usually appeal to all kinds of women.
A Marc Jacobs handbag is noted for their versatility and sturdiness. The Marc Jacobs handbags come in a range of materials from classic leather to the more modern linen. Some of the bags come in fashionable colors, such as purple, orange and green while others will suit the more conservative in their classic black, browns and ecru colors.
The more notable Marc Jacobs handbags are the leather patchwork or quilted designs that are usually outfitted with gold fittings and accessories. These have caught the attention of many a fashionista and are in demand up to today despite having been made for some time already. Many of the Marc Jacobs handbags will also complement the shoes that the designer is also well known for.
Some Marc Jacobs handbag designs utilize all kinds of leather for the more particular consumer such as ostrich and others. Other materials are more common but made into eye catching colors especially those for the resort line. Marc Jacobs handbag designs are also very casual and at the same time have refreshing colors and have a decidedly new concept of a look of a smaller bag in a bigger one.

There is nothing more intriguing than a woman’s purse. This item has become one of the most popular fashion accessories of all time, and a must have for most women. These necessities come in a variety of styles and materials these days and one of the most enduring materials that have been used for centuries is the beaded handbag.
The Beaded Handbag: Popular for Centuries
The purse itself has been used by both men and women throughout history. The beaded handbag has been spotted in paintings and even mentioned in literature as far back as the 1300’s. Small beads have been found during archeological digs, and even the Empress Josephine was well known for her beaded handbag.
The beaded handbag is made by first constructing a frame. This is often made of metal and the material is pulled onto the frame. There is often a chain that is connected to allow for the beaded handbag to be carried. The beads themselves are often extremely small. They are sewn on in patterns allowing for the beaded handbag to have a colorful design sewn. The beads and patterns are amazing and sometimes very intricate too.
Not only were these bags popular in Europe, they were also very sought after in America. During the 1960’s many woman made their own beaded handbags from patterns that could be purchased at local stores that featured sewing supplies. The beads themselves were easy to find too. This was a popular trend that allowed for a variety of creative purses to be created.
Beaded Handbag Styles
Some of the beaded handbags that are made use beads from different time periods. Beads from the 1800’s have been used to decorate bags that were manufactured in the 1920’s.
This can be frustrating for collectors of beaded handbags, as bags are very often difficult to date. Most beaded handbags are not signed by the designer and collectors have a hard time verify when the bag was created. Materials can be deceiving and collectors need to be careful when purchasing a beaded handbag.
Originally, most beaded handbags were manufactured in France and Austria. Today, many of these ornate bags are created in China and instead of the hand sewing that was needed; machines are used to make the intricate designs. This does not take away from the beauty of the pattern and beads, however, and these are still very popular. Beaded handbags are a popular choice for many women today and collectors too can see the value of these well designed purses.
